Number Of Players To Feature In Opener
Mangotsfield United open the pre-season campaign with a friendly against Toolstation League Premier Division Bitton on Monday evening, kick off 7.30pm.
The fixture for The Alan Spiller Memorial Trophy is the first of eight pre-season friendlies lined up ahead of the league opener on Saturday 18th August.
Speaking to MUFC Online Mangotsfield United Manager Richard Thompson (pictured) said "For the opening two fixtures I intend to give a runout to all the lads that have attended pre-season training so they can get some game time under their belts. We have a number of players we want to have a look at and the opening two fixtures will be used for this purpose.
Thompson continued "Training has gone very well, we've had six excellent sessions now and the level of committment in terms of attendence and attitude has been first class. The players are now getting to know each other and importantly the spirit amongst the players is developing."
