Thompson is clearly showing age is no barrier by adding four eighteen year old midfielders to the squad at Cossham Street.
Former Cheltenham Town midfielder Joe Turley (pictured) who featured in the last three pre-season friendlies has agreed to put pen to paper.
Turley joins Mangotsfield after being one of eight second years scholars released by the League Two club in the summer.
Re-signing for the club from last season are former Youth Team players Luke Palmer and Jake Slocombe along with Lewis Parker who came to the club midway through last season.
On the signing of Joe Turley manager Richard Thompson commented "We've taken Joe on after his release from Cheltenham Town and I think he's fitted in really well. He want's to give it a go with Mangotsfield and is really keen. He's another promising signing for the future and he fits in with the way we're looking to move forward and develop as a club.
Thompson continued "Luke, Lewis and Jake will be part of the first team squad and I'll be expecting them to be pushing for a starting place and not being just squad members."
