A new-look Mangotsfield side start the 2017-18 campaign at home to promotion favourites Salisbury FC on Saturday.

Eight of the squad have not played for the club before, and as Manager David Mehew says…

“Welcome back. It is a season of change as I’m sure you’re aware. A case of out with the old and in with the new.
On this year’s squad I feel, when the slight injuries clear up, we have a squad capable of being around where we were last term. Seven of the squad have won this, or higher leagues in their careers, and that over the season should bode well. Two others have been top ten players for the past few years and want to go higher. Added to that, I believe some young exciting players - the new generation - I think we can have a good season. On top of that we have Lewis Ellington who has an eye for goal, for three months, and I’m sure he’ll benefit from playing week in week out. There are too many players to name all of them, but I wish them all the very best with their careers at our club".

"I’ve added to my staff, Steve Dix as a goal-keeper coach, local girl Georgia Smith as our physio, and of course, Darren Edwards as Player / Assistant Manager. Welcome to all of those people and Thank you for your help so far.."
