Fortune joined Mangotsfield in the summer despite interest from Blue Square Premier Hereford United as well a number of other clubs at a higher level than Mangotsfield.
During his brief period at Cossham Street Fortune quickly became a hit with supporters, winning three man of the match awards in nine appearances for the club.
On a positive note MUFC Online can announce the signing of twenty two year old striker Ben Hunt (pictured) who put pen to paper this afternoon to seal his move from Gloucester City.
Hunt who had been a summer target for Richard Thompson opted to sign for the Blue Square South outfit after impressing during pre-season.
Born in Southwark he began his career at West Ham United playing for the Youth Team and also featuring regularly for the clubs reserve side.
After being released at the end of the 2007/08 season he signed for Bristol Rovers making his debut in August coming on as a substitute against Brighton and Hove Albion.
Loan spells at Gloucester City and Newport County followed in the 2009/10 season before he was one of a number of players to be released in the summer of 2010 after making fourteen appearances.
After his release from Bristol Rovers Hunt has featured for a number of non-league clubs including Dover Athletic, Lewes, Weston Super Mare and Bishop’s Stortford.
