looking to tomorrow

Boris' thoughts

Mangotsfield United go into the Bristol Rovers match hoping to put on an entertaining show just like the 5-3 match at this time last year. Dave Mehew added “ There are a lot of changes personnel - wise our end, but it’s all good and I was pleased, bearing in mind the players that were out on Friday night, with how it went.

Normally we wouldn’t have chopped and changed things and that did disrupt things a little. On Wednesday we will welcome back Tom Warren from his holiday, and Kyle Knott, who has impressed in training. Lewis Hogg is back for the Street FC match and with Nick Peare probably out for another ten days or so, I will probably leave Jack Harris until next week as he is unavailable for the Street match.

This will help him get a full week’s training in after rolling his ankle the Tuesday before pre season training. He’ll definitely play in the Saturday match at Ashton & Backwell.

Jack could possibly still play on Wednesday but with Nick definitely out we need his injury cleared up completely. Physically you can see he’s put the work in during close- season and he has a calendar month to get match practice. This time last year he had two sessions. The rest of the squad will be more or less the same as Friday, with a couple of potential players included if they’ve been training on Monday evening.
