Evesham United Preview

D-Day at The Jubilee

Mangotsfield United, buoyed by the midweek win at Shortwood head up the M5 to Evesham, not in a six pointer, but a Judgement Day clash with current fifth place side Evesham Utd.

Manager Dave Mehew commented “We were well beaten at home on the day by The Robins and they are indeed a very good side. We lost by the same score- line at home to Shortwood as we did with Evesham, and we reversed that on Tuesday night, and we’ll be looking to do a similar thing at The Jubilee. If we can get all three points, then it’s definitely "game on" for the play-off’s.
A draw gives us a squeak, but a lot to do and we then become reliant on a couple of other teams at least.

The main thing is to be confident and believe we can win. Then stay in the game, unlike last week, when after conceding a deflected free kick against Taunton they scored almost straight away and effectively killed the game due to poor marking at a set- piece.

There are no injury concerns for the weekend and we hope to have Dale Evans back from a virus.
