The signing of Thorne from Clevedon Town follows on from that of central defender Sam Teale who also arrives from The Hand Stadium and central midfielder Nick Dunn who joins from Paulton Rovers.
Thorne (pictured) started his career at Bristol Rovers featuring for the clubs reserve team. After being released he signed for Bristol Manor Farm before having spells at Team Bath and Weymouth.
In 2010 he made the switch to Clevedon Town remaining with the club until January 2011 when he moved to Almondsbury Town. After Almondsbury's demise Thorne put pen to paper on a move to Bridgwater Town before returning to Clevedon Town for a second spell in November last year.
