Having spent several years completing her physio exams, Molly is now a member of the prestigious Football Medical Association Register. As part of this she has had to be involved with a League team for 4 years, (Bristol Rovers) whilst also finishing her exams. Her BSc took 3 years - full time - and then her MSc took 2 year’s part time. So, the workload has been very intensive.
Molly said “The Football Medical Association Register is an elite register listing medical and science practitioners who have experience and expertise in the professional football arena. This means that sporting professionals and clubs can work together to link injured players with the best medical professionals in their chosen field. It will also allow me to expand my knowledge base to provide the best care to MUFC players.”
During the 2016/17 season, we had long term injuries to both George Lloyd and Kyle Knott and Molly’s expertise has been invaluable in the recovery of both players. Molly commented “They've been superb patients, both being extremely motivated/dedicated and I’d like to think that we both have an excellent rapport and friendship now. They're both fab!”
Her long-term plans are to continue working full time in the football world and see where life takes her.
On behalf of everyone at the club - congratulations Molly!
