A busy week at Cossham Street in terms of player comings and goings has continued with two further additions to the squad and news of one player who has opted to take a break from football.

Vastly experienced goalkeeper Kevin Sawyer (pictured) joins from Evostik Southern League Premier Division league leaders Leamington as a replacement for Danny Greaves who is to have time away from the game due to work commitments. Also arriving at Cossham Street on a month’s loan is Frome Town central defender Ryan Bennett.

Thirty two year old Sawyer an ever present for Leamington this season began his career at Cirencester Town progressing from the Academy side to the first team in 1998. A move to Salisbury City came in July 2002 where he spent four successful seasons culminating in promotion to Conference South in 2006. After leaving Salisbury he returned to Cirencester Town for a year before making the switch to Gloucester City helping the club to promotion to Conference North. Released in September 2011 Kevin returned to Cirencester for a third spell, spending the final month of last season on loan at Chippenham.

A former Mangotsfield United player, twenty one year old Bennett has been a regular for Frome Town this season making nine appearances for the Somerset based Club.
