by MUFC Reporter

Mangotsfield United returned to the top of the Somerset Floodlit Youth League Premier Division after beating third placed Bishop Sutton by a single goal at Cossham Street.

The home side made a bright start to the match enjoying the better of the early exchanges creating a number of chances which went begging.

As the half progressed Bishop Sutton rallied and took the game to Mangotsfield but despite this threatened rarely with chances at a premium.

With the benefit of the slope in the second half Mangotsfield dominated and were rewarded with a goal ten minutes after the restart, Luke Palmer scoring what was to to be the decisive goal.

Bishop Sutton created very little in the second half as the impressive Mangotsfield rearguard snuffed out any threat.

The Youth Team are next in action a week on Thursday when Weston Super Mare visit Cossham Street.
