Richard Thompson (Manager) : Appointed Manager in April 2012 after the surprise resignation of Phil Bater. A former Mangotsfield United player “Thommo” was on the books of Watford as a schoolboy and played for Yate Town before signing for Newport County in 1987. After Newport’s financial issues Thompson left to join Torquay United in June 1988. After a loan spell with Yeovil Town he signed for the Somerset side in August 1989 after being released by Torquay United. Thompson then carved out a successful career in non league football playing for Trowbridge Town, Salisbury City, Yate Town, Forest Green Rovers, Mangotsfield United, Taunton Town and Tiverton Town. The highlight being winning the FA Vase at Wembley with Taunton Town. In July 2000 Thompson was appointed as manager of Yate Town, leading the club to two promotions. After leaving the club in 2009 and taking up the reigns at Almondsbury Town he led the club to promotion to the Southern League winning The Hellenic League in 2010. He left when the club was forced to resign from the league ahead of the 2011/12 season. In his first season as Manager of the club Mangotsfield finished a creditable 13th in the league after an encouraging end to the season which also saw the club win The GFA Senior Challenge Trophy for the first time in 10 years.
Lee Barlass (Assistant) : Joined Mangotsfield at the end of April 2012 following the appointment of Richard Thompson as manager. A former player and popular figure at Mangotsfield Lee was a member of the side which earned promotion to The Southern League for the first time in the clubs history in 2000. After leaving the club Lee went onto enjoy a successful spell as player then assistant manager at Yate Town alongside Richard Thompson, the highlight being promotion to The Southern League Premier Division in 2005. In 2009 Lee teamed up with Thompson at Hellenic League Premier Division Almondsbury Town helping guide the club to the league title in 2009/10 and promotion to the Southern League, finishing sixth in the clubs first and only season in the league.
Lee Jefferies (Assistant) : Became part of the backroom team at Cossham Street at the end of April 2012 after Richard Thompson's appointment as manager. Lee made his name as a no nonsense central defender featuring for Yate Town, Clevedon Town, Gloucester City, Brislington and more recently with Almondsbury Town where he teamed up with Richard Thompson in a player coach role.

Doug Pringle (Sports Therapist) : Appointed last summer Doug is a Chartered Physiotherapist who specialises in Neuromusculoskeletel Sports Therapy Rehabilitation. He is senior lecturer at The University of West of England and the Module leader for Sports Injury.
Kevin Sawyer (Goalkeeper) : In his second season at Mangotsfield United after signing from Leamington in October last year. Named MUSC Player and Players Player Of The Season 2012/13. Vastly experienced goalkeeper Kevin began his career at Cirencester Town progressing from the Academy side to the first team in 1998. A move to Salisbury City came in July 2002 where he spent four successful seasons culminating in promotion to Conference South in 2006. After leaving Salisbury he returned to Cirencester Town for a year before making the switch to Gloucester City helping the club to promotion to Conference North. Released in September 2011 Kevin returned to Cirencester for a third spell, spending the final month of last season on loan at Chippenham. Started last season with Leamington where he was an ever present for the champions to be.

Neil Arndale (Defender) : Club captain. Re-signed for Mangotsfield in May 2012 after five months out of the game. Experienced former England under eighteen international Neil started his career at Bristol Rovers where he spent two seasons as a professional after coming through their academy ranks. After being released by Bristol Rovers he signed for Cirencester Town in August 2004 where he became club captain. Neil joined Mangotsfield in June 2006 staying for five seasons before making the switch back to Cirencester Town in the summer of 2011. After a short spell he moved in the opposite direction returning to Cossham Street in October last year.

Tom Parrinello (Defender) : Joined Mangotsfield in June 2011 after opting to leave Gloucester City where he made over forty appearances during the 2010/11 season. Tom, a left back who can also play in an attacking role on the left began his career at Bristol Rovers. After being released he signed for Weston Super Mare in 2009 and was voted the clubs Player Of The Season. After one season at Woodspring Park he spent the 2010/11 campaign at Gloucester City.

Shaun Lamb (Defender) : Signed in October last year after opting to leave Chippenham Town. Began his career at Bristol City, after a number of seasons at Ashton Gate he left for a short spell at Forest Green Rovers towards the end of the 2006/07 season before signing for Team Bath in the summer. After Team Bath disbanded at the end of the 2008/09 season Lamb joined Chippenham Town remaining with the club until leaving for a brief spell at Bitton towards the 2011/12 season. Last summer he re-signed for the Wiltshire based club after the appointment of Nathan Rudge as manager.

Ryan Bennett (Defender) : Signed from Frome Town in February, making a permanent return to Mangotsfield after a three month loan spell prior to Christmas. Ryan began his career at Cossham Street progressing from the youth team ranks to the first team before making a switch to Western League Premier Division Bitton. In 2010 he returned to Southern League football when signing for Frome Town where he made a total of 71 appearances for the Somerset club.

Lee Marshall (Defender) : Versatile player who can play as a left sided central defender or left back and also as a holding midfielder. Lee signed in June 2011 from Paulton Rovers. He began his career at Bristol Manor Farm before making the switch to Paulton Rovers. After impressing at Winterfield Road he signed for Gloucester City in June 2008 and remained there until February 2010 when he returned to Paulton Rovers for a second spell. After being awarded both the Supporters and Players Player Of The Season awards in 2012 he was runner up in the voting for the Supporters award last season.

Adnan Hiroli (Striker) : Arrived at Mangotsfield in January from Yate Town. Born in India Hiroli started as a YTS player at Bristol Rovers before making the switch to Western League Premier Division Brislington in 2008. After four months a move to Southern League Bridgwater Town followed where he remained until the end of the season. In 2009 Hiroli began a stint in Welsh football signing for UWIC where after impressing he joined Cardiff Corinthians ahead of the 2010/11 season. Last season saw a move to Welsh League Division One Taffs Well. A return to English football came prior to the start of the 2012/13 season making a return to Southern League football when signing for Yate Town.

Nick Dunn (Midfielder) : Signed from Paulton Rovers at the end of May last year. A player familiar to Thompson having played under his management at Almondsbury Town, featuring for the club in the Hellenic League Premier Division title winning side and also being a prominent member of the team which finished sixth in the Southern League South & West Division in 2010/11, a season in which he also had short spells at Clevedon Town and Southern League Premier Division Oxford City. Prior to the 2011/12 campaign he made the switch to Paulton Rovers after Almondsbury Town withdrew from the league.

Kyle Thomas (Midfielder) : Came to the club in May last year, Kyle who can play anywhere across midfield learnt his trade at Toolstation Western League Premier Division Bristol Manor Farm working his way from the clubs youth team ranks to become a firm favourite at The Creek before making the switch to Bridgwater Town during the 2010/11 season. His first season for Mangotsfield came to a premature end when suffering a serious ankle injury against Didcot Town in March.

Kyle Tooze (Midfielder) : Now in his third spell at Cossham Street after re-joining in the Winter of 2011. As a sixteen year old Youth Team player he broke into the Mangotsfield first team during the 2008/09 season and after impressing in two FA Cup ties against Truro City he signed for the Cornish club in December 2009 for £5,000. After failing to settle at Truro a move to Swindon Supermarine followed ahead of the 2010/11 campaign but after a short spell he re-signed for Mangotsfield in October. A move to Frome Town came in the summer of 2011 only for Tooze to return to Cossham Street for a second time six months later.

Todd Winter (Midfielder) : After becoming one of Richard Thompson's first signings in May 2012 Todd's first season with the club was cut short when suffering an horrific leg injury against Didcot Town in March. An attacking midfielder with an eye for goal he began his career at Brislington before joining Thompson at Almondsbury Town in the summer of 2009 where he impressed in two seasons at the club. After Almondsbury's expulsion from the Southern League Todd joined Bishop Sutton scoring seven goals from midfield in 2011/12.

Dave Stone (Striker) : Joined the club in March from Clevedon Town. Dave has plenty of experience at this level and above having made his Southern League debut as a 20 year old for then Premier Division Rugby Town in 2005 after signing from Daventry Town. During his time in the Midlands Stone also featured for a number of clubs including Nuneaton Town of Conference North and Southern League Premier Division clubs Halesowen Town and Banbury United. After relocating to Bristol due to work in 2011 he put pen to paper with Cirencester Town but after a short time switched to Paulton Rovers. A move across Bristol to Yate Town followed in October 2011 where he was the clubs leading scorer. Ahead of the 2012/13 season Stone returned to Paulton for a second spell but left in September to sign for Clevedon Town.

Ben Hunt (Striker) : Joined Mangotsfield in October 2012. Born in Southwark he began his career at West Ham United playing for the Youth Team and also featuring regularly for the clubs reserve side. After being released at the end of the 2007/08 season he signed for Bristol Rovers making his debut in August coming on as a substitute against Brighton and Hove Albion. Loan spells at Gloucester City and Newport County followed in the 2009/10 season before he was one of a number of players released in the summer of 2010 after making fourteen appearances. After his release from Bristol Rovers Hunt has featured for a number of non-league clubs including Dover Athletic, Lewes, Weston Super Mare and Bishop’s Stortford.

Liam Monelle (Striker) : A promising young striker with an eye for goal. Liam was promoted to the First Team squad last season making his first senior appearance for the club against Poole Town in February after impressing for the clubs Youth Team.

Marcus Duharty : Top scorer last season after re-joining the club from Weston Super Mare. A former Bristol Rovers youngster Marcus signed for Cadbury Heath ahead of the 2007/08 season scoring twenty one goals in thirty six appearances. After continuing his scoring exploits Marcus signed for Mangotsfield in September 2008 but his time at Cossham Street was shortlived as he left the club for Bridgwater Town in January 2009. Marcus remained with Bridgwater until the summer of 2010 when his performances led to a move to Blue Square South Weston Super Mare impressing in his first season. After missing the start of the 2011/12 campaign through injury Marcus spent two months on loan at Mangotsfield returning to Weston for the second half of the season.

Ryan Bath (Striker) : Now in his second season with Mangotsfield after joining the club last summer. A strong and powerful forward Ryan came to the fore in the second half of last season after struggling with injury in the early stages of the campaign. Previously played for Brislington before taking a break from football to go travelling. Also played for Larkhall Athletic, Oldland Abbotonians and Yate Town.
